Small Fries Day Nursery are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Deputy Manager who is motivated for a new challenge, with a proven track record of supporting a team of practitioners to ensure our children have the best start in life.

The Deputy Manager role plays a key part in supporting the Nursery Manager with the ongoing success of the business, by being a role model and having the ability to motivate and support the team to the highest standards.

We are a 2-floor city-centre based nursery growing day-by-day to the delight of the children and families in our care, and the potential to double in size in the near future.

Responsibilities and Duties
In the absence of the Nursery Manager, the Deputy will undertake the overall day-to-day management of the nursery.

Other key tasks include:
- Assisting the Nursery Manager with the effective day-to-day management of the nursery
- Supporting the Nursery Manager with all day-to-day paperwork within the nursery
- Assisting the Nursery Manager in delivering agreed occupancy targets
- Promoting high standards of quality within the nursery in respect of the environment, resources and experiences offered to children
- Ensuring that all children attending the nursery receive rich and stimulating experiences appropriate to their age and stage of development
- Ensuring that practice and provision in the nursery meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage
- Ensuring that children are kept safe and that staff understand and, when necessary, follow Safeguarding Procedures
- Promote and facilitate partnerships with parents/carers and other family members
- Create and maintain a culture of self-evaluation and reflective practice throughout the nursery

Qualifications and Skills
- A recognised qualification in childcare (equivalent to level 3 or above)
- Experience of leading and supporting a team of Nursery Practitioners
- Competitive salary based upon qualifications and experience
